An environmentally friendly and energy-efficient home in Iceland

Despite the fact that it is located in Iceland, this house is actually a very comfortable and warm family. The building was designed by Minarc and the project was completed in 2011. It covers an area of 1,500 square feet. What the client wants is a calm family sanctuary, a place to relax and get close to nature. They also hope that this is sustainable and environmentally friendly, bringing them closer to nature.

Architects use sustainable and environmentally friendly materials and energy-saving technologies in combination with minimalist design. The house has two bedrooms and one bathroom, as well as an additional attic. The design of the house is focused on functionality, with the goal of creating a friendly and healthy environment for the residents.
Architects focus on selecting the right materials to maximize solar power and cross-flow, minimizing the cost and use of artificial power. They also tried to use organic materials to reduce the impact on natural foundations, as well as large windows that allow large amounts of natural light to enter. The outside area includes an outdoor shower and a vegetable garden.
