Burkina Faso, a gendarmerie convoy attacked 5 people killed

Xinhua News Agency, Lomei, December 1 (Reporter Xiao Yuyang) Ouagadougou News: The security department of Burkina Faso issued a statement on the 1st that an attack occurred in the afternoon of November 30th in the eastern part of the city. Five people died.

The statement said that a gendarmerie convoy in Burkina Faso was hit by a roadside bomb while patrolling near the ancient city that day, and then a group of unidentified armed elements opened fire on the convoy. The attack killed five people, including four gendarmes. The vehicles of the gendarmerie were also blown up during the attack.

At present, no organization or individual has claimed to have created this attack.

Since 2015, Burkina Faso’s attacks have been frequent and the security situation is grim. On March 2 this year, the Armed Forces headquarters in the capital of Ouagadougou and the French Embassy in Burkina Faso were attacked by unidentified armed men, killing eight soldiers. On August 11 this year, a roadside bomb attack occurred near the city of Fadaeng Gulma in the eastern province of Bulma, killing six people.
