Foreign media said that Chinese tourists are flocking to the rest of the world, and the number of visitors to Singapore has set a new record.
According to the Singapore Straits Times reported on February 9, in the first half of last year, the number of Chinese tourists to Singapore reached 1.24 million, a sharp increase of 27% over the same period of the previous year.
For the first time, Chinese people overtook Indonesian tourists and became the foreign tourists who spend the most money in Singapore.
Figures from the Singapore Tourism Board show that Chinese tourists spent nearly $1.52 billion in Singapore in the first half of last year, 3% more than Indonesians. This does not include the cost of excursions and entertainment.
